The Nutrition Training Program at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine is broadly based, moreover it is inter-disciplinary in all aspects of metabolic processes for graduate students in the PhD program. The science of nutrition has changed since its inception.

The Department of Nutrition at CASE offers programs that span the breadth of the discipline, from human nutrition and dietetics to basic nutritional sciences.
The strength of CASE's combined science departments places the University nationally in the top rank of highest education institutions. And the Department of Nutrition includes 17 full-time, 7 secondary and 80 adjunct faculty members. Our research faculty investigates a broad spectrum of nutrition and/or metabolic science issues.
