The program in nutrition and foods at Drexel requires four years of study, with twelve terms of classroom work and two terms of co-operative experience. The curriculum is designed to provide a sound basis for careers in the food and pharmaceutical industries or in dietetics and the application of the principles of nutrition and food science to the nutritional care of individuals and groups. Students are prepared to enter technical positions in food product development and quality assurance, and as dietitians in hospitals, nursing care facilities, institutional food service management, and other nutrition- and food-related service fields.
