Atlanta Beverage Company was founded in 1930 by Stuart P. Murray. Since this was the time of Prohibition, the Company sold "near beer" and certain brands of soft drinks. In 1936, shortly after the end of Prohibition, the Company began selling beer.
Anheuser-Busch Wholesalers, together with 12 breweries and a vast network of shippers, provide the most extensive and effective beer distribution system in the brewing industry.
