Diazteca has been in the mango business for three generations, starting with mango orchards in the backyards of the big hacienda homes of those times in Escuinapa, Sinaloa, Mexico where the family roots are still growing.
In the 70’s Diazteca started as a mango producer, in the early 80’s it installed its first packing facility, and in 1987 Diazteca’s Western Distribution Center in Nogales, Arizona, U.S.A. was created as a need of the Diaz family to better service its customers. Since then, Diazteca has been a strong pillar in the distribution of mango and other fruits and vegetables to the United States and Japan.
In 1997, Diazteca created its new Eastern Distribution Center in McAllen, Texas, U.S.A. with the purpose of servicing more directly and efficiently important chain stores and clients in the eastern United States.
Diazteca recently built its new Western Distribution Center with 45 loads of cold storage capacity to improve customer service and product quality and shelf life, and to supply freshness to the families of the United States and other countries through the incorporation of the most advanced produce conservation, handling and food-safety compliance technologies.
Diazteca generates more than 3,000 direct and indirect jobs in Mexico and over 100 in the United States. New generations of the Diaz family are professionals educated in all aspects of international agribusiness and experienced through a lifetime in the produce industry.
