Damascus Bakery is a 3rd Generation, Family-Owned Wholesale Bread and Snack Bakery, presently located in Brooklyn, New York, with plans to start-up a significqntly larger operation in Secaucus, New Jersey by April 2008.
Established in 1930, our company Mission Statement is: "To Work Healthy, Bake Healthy, Grow Healthy, partnering with our Employees, Suppliers and Community to continuously create Value for our Customers."
We are an industry leader in the development and marketing of "Nutritious & Delicious" Artisan Flatbreads such as Wraps, Authentic Lahvash, Roll-Ups, PaniniBreads, Pitas, Pizza Crusts, and Cracker Breads for National Fast Food Chains, Supermarkets, Commissaries and Distributors. We also co-pack for three of America's ten largest bakeries.
Besides active participation by Owners (President and Vice-President) we staff a Director of Operations; Plant Manager; Plant Engineer; Q/A Mgr; Sanitation Mgr; R&D Mgr; Human Resource Mgr. In total, we staff about 150 employees.
We have been the recipient of several National Awards and Recognitions. We are a memeber of AIB (American Institute of Baking; RCA (Research Chef's Association).
