Job Description
TITLE: Marketing Projects Manager (2) TYPE: Permanent / Full Time / Exempt REPORTS TO: Director of Marketing LOCATION: Watsonville,CA

PURPOSE: This position works individually and with others to increase emotional attachment to, and build greatest preference for, the Driscoll’s brand among employees, growers, customers and consumers.

JOB SUMMARY: Assists others to execute successful business strategies, programs and initiatives. Develops project plans, schedules and facilitate project team meetings, and determines resources. Creates timelines, budgets and metrics, and monitors and reports on progress. Develops and refines marketing and cross-functional processes to ensure timely execution, operational efficiency and alignment. Liaisons with and provides guidance to internal and external resources as needed. May travel for business up to 15% of work time.

QUALIFICATIONS: Associates degree in Marketing or Business Administration required; BS in Marketing of Business Administration preferred. Advanced level computer skills in Word, Excel and PowerPoint and proficiency in graphics software necessary. Five plus years experience in areas including ad and collateral development and production; project timeline creation; budget creation and reporting; vendor relationships; ad placement and media buys; copy writing; branding; PR; writing policies and procedures. Experience in graphic design, internet advertising and communication, new product or other marketing-related launches is a plus. A strong communicator with good teamwork skills is desired. Bilingual, bi-literate skills (English/Spanish) a plus. Valid CA Driver’s License and eligibility for company vehicle insurance required. Must be able to lift 30 pounds on an infrequent basis.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

Specific projects include:

? Product- and customer-specific marketing plan elements ? Category Managed account sales and marketing plans ? Competitive analysis program elements ? Marketing program elements for Driscoll’s departments

? Oversees Marketing’s disaster recovery program including maintenance and communication of up-to-date procedures, and program implementation

? Manages Marketing portion of cross-functional projects (i.e. new product, market and packaging opportunities, etc.)

? Aids in planning and execution of new product or other launches

? Determines optimal list of Internet domain names and maintains up-to-date registrations

? Establishes and nurtures vendor relationships (i.e. printers, photographers, graphic designers, etc.)

? Assists in monitoring company trademark and registration program to ensure proper registrations and classifications are maintained in appropriate countries

? Contributes to Sales and Marketing Plan, customer plans and other plans as necessary

? As an ambassador, positively represents the department to all internal and external constituents

? In conjunction with others in the marketing department, works to ensure accurate, consistent communication of the Driscoll’s brand, image and message

? Develops Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) for projects and areas of responsibility for inclusion in Marketing Department SOP manual

? Provides additional input to annual Marketing department budget

? Compiles information for reports and presentations as needed

? Performs additional tasks as necessary
