Manager of Baking Laboratory and Innovation is responsible for finding, developing, and Testing new technologies that will improve efficiency and quality of bakery products and their manufacture. Develop applications for the fortification of bakery products with vitamins, minerals, and Omega 3. Resolve quality issues with ingredients, process, and finished products. Act as a technical resource for trouble shooting and cross-functional team projects, such as: R & D, procurement, labeling, sales and marketing. Resolve technical production issues for multiple production facilities across the US.

QUALIFICATIONS

· Graduate of AIB, KSU Baking Science, or Food Science. · Minimum 10 years baking experience with hands on knowledge of bread and rolls, sweet goods, and other yeast and chemically leavened bakery goods. · Fully knowledgeable in enzymes and all other bakery ingredients. · Experienced in performing baking tests, ingredient function tests and analysis,and baked product evaluation and scoring. · Be able to work independently as a self-starter. · Possess strong interpersonal skills. · Excellent computer, communication, motivational, and organizational skills a must to be successful in this position. · Be able to travel up to 25% of the time and work varying hours in production facilities around the country. · Be willing to relocate to Crowley LA. · Provide management of new product development from concept to commercialization within required timeliness and specification. Provide innovative concepts and products for internal/external accounts on an ongoing basis. Solicit information regarding future product requirements to collectively address new opportunities.
