Cargill Meat Solutions has an exciting opportunity available for a Regulatory Superintendent. This position will serve as the technical resource for all food safety and other regulatory issues as well as work with USDA. Will lead the efforts surrounding food safety audits within the facility and assist the TS Manager in the day-to-day activities of the technical services department. Interaction with and training company personnel to lead food safety improvement initiatives will also be a responsibility. Principle Accountabilities: Ensures that corrective actions are initiated in response to regulatory or food safety deficiencies Remains abreast of any changes to the regulatory environment and ensures that the facility stays ahead of these changes Acts as technical resource for all food safety and regulatory issues Participates and coordinates food safety audits performed within the facility Acts as a technical resource and facilitator for all food safety improvement initiatives 10% travel required
Qualifications High school diploma 3-4 years of experience in a quality assurance supervisory role in a food manufacturing plant Solid understanding of USDA requirements. Strong people skills Strong decision making skills Strong computer skills Must possess a strong desire to drive food safety improvement initiatives within the facility Teambuilding skills that help move the TS department towards achieving the strategic goals of business unit.
