Job Description
Duties: This position functions within the Strategic Research Group’s (SRG) whose focus is applied research that aims to closely link the results of R&D efforts with the company’s operations, putting attention on major projects. The group’s scientists are charged with the development and commercialization of strategically important products and processes. A successful scientist in this position will be able to apply basic research results to create new and useful products and processes, which many times requires bringing together people from accounting, sales, production, and other R&D areas.
Requirements: BS/MS degree with 3 years of experience in the Food Science, Food Chemistry, Food Engineering, or Chemistry. Experience in lab setting with developing, testing, and evaluating cheese products, proteins, carbohydrates, functional food ingredients and food products, have a proven record of initiating, planning, and managing multiple projects involving cheese/whey manufacturing and/or dairy chemistry with minimal supervision. Knowledge of cheese and whey manufacturing and dairy and carbohydrate chemistry is a plus.
