Purpose of Position:
This position will be the liaison between the functional business areas (Financials, Distribution, Human Resources) and the Corporate and Regional/Local Information Technology Department. Key duties will involve assisting with the configuration, maintenance, support and enhancement of current and future business systems.
Accountabilities:
Oversee the activities of business system projects including requirement validation, analysis, evaluation and participation in software selection and implementation projects. Responsible for gathering new functional requirements, analysis and evaluation of the same, serve as a strategic liaison between key functional personnel in all international divisions and IT personnel in Corporate Offices.
Formulate and define functional scope and objectives of all business related activities and new projects. Assist in the establishment of standards and procedures for all business functions, assist in the preparation of status reports presented by the IT Project Manager for related area.
Prepare weekly project status reports, and communicate project status and related issues to management team. Develop and maintain the following documentation for each main activity including: a) Requirements Definition; b) Functional Specifications; assist with the development and maintenance of: a) Project Plan.
Any other additional tasks as required by the business and the IT Department. Responsible for activities related to the stability of the business applications functionality.
Monitor the daily activities of the business applications and initiatives across all international units.
Provide functional leadership to IT and the enterprise, provide high level application designs and system flows into applications and programs, or processing flows that meet Del Monte's corporate standards, strategies and guidelines.
Coordination, analysis, development and implementation of custom reports, extensions, conversions, interfaces for Oracle Financial Applications and other systems. Lead project team in the rapid construction, unit testing and delivery of high-quality program code to enhance and/or support new application modules and/or product functionality comprising highly complex business rules and algorithms.
Minimum Requirements:
BS or BA degree in computer science or related field.
Strong techno-functional knowledge of Oracle Applications (Financials, Distribution, Human Resources).
3 to 4 years of business systems implementation experience.
4 to 5 years experience in an Oracle Application development role.
1 to 2 years experience with Oracle 11i.
Experience in performing detailed requirements gathering and coordination of specific functional designs for the development of custom solutions, including reports, extensions, interfaces and data conversions.
Strong PL/SQL, Oracle Reports 6i, Oracle Discoverer 6i and Forms 6i development experience.
Oracle 8i/9i DBMS, FTP, UNIX (Shell Script).
Microsoft Office, MS Project and MS Visio.
Preferred but not Essential:
International business systems implementation experience is a plus.
Bilingual (English/Spanish).
Experience in ADP Applications.
ITIL, Visual C++, Oracle jDeveloper, Java/J2EE.
