Job Description
Duties: -Ensures product quality and safety by assisting in the development and maintenance of quality systems, food safety programs, and company and customer driven certifications. Performs audits to ensure that established quality, food safety, and sanitation standards are being met. Position will require traveling of up to 40%. -Develops or provides assistance in the development of corporate and plant quality and food safety systems. -Performs internal audits to ensure compliance with company, government and customer standards; including but not limited to quality systems, food safety, sanitation, etc. -Supports the plant locations in the implementation and maintenance of quality and food safety systems, specifically SQF (Safe Quality Food Institute Certification Regulations). -Assists in the maintenance and reporting of monthly KPI’s (Key Performance Indicators). -Provides initial and refresher training in food safety (HACCP), quality systems, and SQF compliance and certification. Acts as a resource to plants in these areas. -Coordinates and performs compliance audits of co-packers and select suppliers. -Assists the Regional Quality Managers with project or high priority duties. -Performs other duties of a similar nature as necessary.
