Cargill Regional Beef has a career enhancing opportunity for an Accounting Supervisor I interested in the fast-paced and growing Regional Beef business unit. The position will provide accounting support for the Milwaukee, WI facility. The Regional Beef business unit is a three facility segment of Cargill's Meat Solution platform with plants in Wyalusing, PA, Milwaukee, WI and Fresno, CA. Flexibility, initiative, curiosity, responsiveness, teamwork and innovative thinking are critical. The accounting supervisor position will direct the Fabrication and Grinding cost accounting team and related activities. The position will work closely with staff at all levels of the facility to maintain the standard costing and plant floor systems. The position will also analyze standards / variances, reconcile inventory movements, manage CIP, have financial reporting responsibilities, and provide information and ideas to improve the business.
Principle Accountabilities: 30%- Fabrication cost accounting 30%- Grind cost accounting 10%- P&L reporting 10%- CIP 10%- Ad Hoc reporting 10%- Cross training of associate accountant
Qualifications Required: University (4 year) degree in Accounting or Finance. Minimum 2 years accounting experience to include cost accounting experience. Ability to lead and coach staff. Ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to a changing environment. Self-motivated individual with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong computer skills. Strong communication skills. Good organizational skills. Be able to perform well under pressure, establishing priorities to meet deadlines. Experience in JDE/other AS 400 systems.
Want: Supervisory experience. Strong Microsoft Access skills. Experience in reflections or other cost accounting/yield systems. Experience in Prism.
