The Information Systems Technologist will be responsible for providing technical support for Kroger Manufacturing’s La Habra Bakery.
Responsibilities:
· Determine specific information system goals and objectives to meet requirements
· Study and analyze system needs
· Oversee the acquisition, installation, certification, maintenance and usage all local area networks, including the automation network (plant floor Ethernet/IP control networks)
· Manage LAN/WAN performance and maintains LAN/WAN security
· Direct development of local data processing solutions that meet goals
· Provide plant and corporate Technical System Manager (TSM) with periodic reports
· Keep current with new technologies and appropriate programming methods
· Liaison between plant, TSM, and corporate MIS
· Ensure users understand and adhere to procedures in order to maintain security
· Test and document disaster recovery plans for all computer platforms within the plant
· Develop annual budget for plant systems
Requirements:
· Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent technical training
· Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA) certification with emphasis in Microsoft Windows 2003 Server and Microsoft SQL 2005 database management.
· Attended base Wonderware training (i.e. Application Server Platforms, Information Server, and Intouch Fundamentals of Application Development
· Experience in Novell Netware 5.x
· Good communication skills, both written and oral, as well as the ability to train
· Proven analytical, problem-solving, technical, planning, and organizational skills
