Company Description: Vegetable Grower/Shipper/Packer Importer/Exporter Established Brand Distribution Participate in Key Account Distribution
Objective: To successfully lead and develop sales team and profits for department
Job Responsibilities: Effectively Manage Inside Sales Representatives Oversee Profit and Loss for Sales Department New Business Development, Meet with Director level Procurement officers for foodservice, retailers, and wholesalers Lead the sales team in targeting and pursuing strategic customer prospects and company-wide business opportunities Seek out and analyze new market opportunities; distribution channels, logistics, commodities, etc. Build and Maintain Excellent Customer Relationships Build and Maintain Excellent Vendor Relationships Lead Sales staff in achieving goals and meeting targets Participate in Strategic Planning as member of Senior Management Assign Key Accounts to Sales Representatives based on ability to sustain optimum performance for sales rep and company profits Develop accurate sales forecasts, budgets, and business plans for the sales department Lead all sales presentations on major new account prospects
Candidate Requirements: Must be a Natural Born Leader Experience in prospecting for new business and entrepreneurial skill in inside sales Excellent customer service skills Ability to up sell/cross sell Ability to assess customer’s needs to increase business 1-5 years FOB Sales Experience preferred College Degree or equivalent years of sales experience Computer literacy/Systems savvy Sales/Accomplishment Driven Successful track record in establishing, meeting and exceeding sales projections and forecasts, including proven success with obtaining and servicing major accounts and in executive level sales presentations Successful track record in recruiting, training, and evaluating employees at various levels of professional development Ability and willingness to travel for tradeshows and sales presentations
