Job Description
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES The associate is responsible for the functions below, in addition to other duties as assigned: - Develop and execute marketing strategies to acquire new and retain existing pharmacy patients and grow script count in support of corporate business objectives and health/wellness vision. - Monitor competitive and other pharmacy marketing activity and develop reactive strategies to combat and mitigate the business impact. - Develop pharmacy marketing vendor participation programs and work with the pharmacy group to present them to pharmaceutical vendors, managed care providers and other health and wellness companies to secure participation and promotional funding. - Develop and communicate measures to understand the effectiveness and return on investment (ROI) of pharmacy marketing strategies. - Develop, implement and maintain the necessary marketing support and controls to ensure compliance with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA) and other consumer privacy requirements. - Develop and execute other projects assigned by supervisor to help ensure achievement of overall department and corporate objectives. The following qualities are required: - Ability to pass drug test. - Committed to providing customer service that makes both internal and external customers feel welcome, important, and appreciated. - Ability to preserve confidentiality of information. - Ability and willingness to move with purpose and a strong sense of urgency. - Ability to work weekends on an occasional basis. - Ability to work extended days on an occasional basis. - Accuracy and attention to detail. - Ability to organize and prioritize a variety of tasks/projects. - Familiarity with industry/technical terms and processes. - Ability to work within strict time frames and resolute deadlines. - Proficiency with the Microsoft(r) Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access). Education: Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) in Marketing, plus nine (9) to ten (10) years' of consumer pharmacy and retail marketing, management, or supervisory experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
