Job Description
SCOPE & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Reporting to the Vice President of Sales/US and working out of our Southern NJ facility, the Account Manager is responsible for the sales and marketing of the company’s products to its retail customers, primarily supermarkets in the Northeast
•Develop programs and approaches that maximize the company’s strategies
•In a consultative way, develop innovative marketing programs and promotional approaches which will benefit both the customer and the company
•Continuously analyze the overall category and specific customer data to understand trends and market shifts and evolving opportunities
•Evaluate the existing portfolio of products and recommend changes when necessary
KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:
Manage all day to day issues that insure the implementation of the business strategy/tactics at its retail customers
•Provide timely business reviews with customers
•Retail Pricing Analysis & Recommendations
•Plan-o-gram Recommendations
•Promotional planning & Forecasting
•Budgeting
•Develop Expertise in the Retailers Overall Retail Strategy And Specific Private Label Strategy
•Identify key decision makers
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
•A bachelor degree in business, marketing or related experience is required
•A minimum of five years experience calling on food, drug or mass retail headquarters; experience selling private label consumer products is preferred;
•Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite ( Word, Excel & PowerPoint )
•Ability to work with employees at all levels of the Organization and a demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both written and verbal
•Ability to work within timelines & in pressure situations; strong problem solving, negotiating and decision making skills and ability to handle multiple priorities
