Cargill Meat Solutions has an opportunity available for a Production Scheduler. This position is responsible for scheduling finished good production and inbound truck receiving. The Plant Production Schedule on a daily basis prepares, updates releases schedules to coordinate plant work, and satisfy customer order / forecasted demand within plant constraints. Schedulers work to minimize waste and optimize the use of available capacity, raw materials, WIP, and finished goods inventory. The Scheduler will monitor schedule completion progress, make adjustments and adjust priority of schedules as necessary to meet shipping requirements. The scheduler will work with planning to resolve mismatched constraints, as well as, provide analysis and follow-up on schedule completion accuracy, and expired inventory.
Principle Accountabilities:
50% - Prepares accurate, achieve daily production schedules. Prints and distributes make sheet and pick lists for operations. Close daily interaction with Operations managers to comminicate issues and constraints. 20% - Prepare and update scheduling system setup parameters. Assigns appropriate make-aheads, capactiy constraints, and order threshold levels to ensure makesheet parakmeters are accurate. 30% - Monitors inventory quality status, rework and plant progress on completing open schedules. Identifies current day potential order fulfillment issues and production plan completion accuracy. Prepares and arranges inbound Raw Material truck appointments.
Qualifications 1-3 years of meat industry or production industry related experience. Preferred, but not limited to, Supply Chain and/or Production Operations related roles. Recent college graduates also eligible for this position. Current knowledge and/or keen learning ability within XLGO/Prism operating systems, Plant Floor inventory systems, and all Microsoft Office programs.
