The role requires knowledge of most of the Customer Development Processes and their corresponding IT Application Solutions. In addition an understanding of both Customer and product hierarchies and how these relate to Sales operation processes is required. Experience with SAP specifically with those modules ( Fi/Co, DMC) that interface with Trade Promotion management would be of benefit.

Main Accountabilities • Initiates and influences relationships with stakeholders, in management and implementation, acting as a key point of contact for stakeholders. • Identifies and responds to opportunities for providing products and services to the customer organisation, liaising with those responsible in own organisation. Recommends products and services that will help the customer organisation to achieve its business objectives. • Utilises business experience and skills to assess and advice on the practicability of alternatives, marrying up technical limitations with operational realities. • Investigates, documents and analyses current business processes; identifies the organisational units which undertake, and support the business processes. Identifies alternatives, assesses feasibility, and recommends new approaches. • Establishes an understanding of business aims and facilitates development of alternative processes to achieve them. • Assists the user community in provision of transition support and change planning, and liaises with the project team. • Participates in IT projects along with IT Innovation and IT Services team members to deliver IT projects and initiatives, working primarily on the local activation components of the projects. • Carries out assignments, alone or as part of a team, applying knowledge, skills, and experience. Demonstrates an understanding of the issues of interest to the client organisation and proposes viable solutions within the scope of own expertise, taking into account the needs of those affected. • Assists in the analysis of the underlying issues arising from investigations into requirements and problems, and identifies available options for consideration. • Assists clients/users in defining acceptance tests for automated systems, in a thorough and reliable manner. • Monitors the IT opened cases and works together with the services team to solve them in accordance with the SLA agreed. • Understands the impacts of the most significant IT events occurred such as failures and works close to the business to maintain business continuity

Essential: At least 5 years of experience within a manufacturing or consumer products company with experience in the functional area to be supported and preferably some exposure to a number of other functions within the business. Demonstrated communication skills (written and oral) are critical to the role’s success. Excellent understanding of IT application systems and the infrastructure that enables them. Must possess a good external view of the marketplace to ensure that future strategies are relevant to the business.
Desirable: Functional business experience in Customer Development.
