Must have a BS/BA degree with 3 years experience or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience. Proven ability to mentor and lead teams of diverse memberships to successful results; ability to comprehend, educate others and enforce relevant policies / procedures pertinent to safety, quality, sanitation, security and operations; ability to communicate with all levels of personnel and elevate issues when necessary; Must possess a systems approach to management and be able to implement measurement systems to achieve desired results; ability to implement preventative action plans to prevent recurrence; represent departmental interests while participating on cross functional teams; demonstrated ability to utilize a personal computer effectively in a LAN environment. Preferred technical experience in the food processing or pharmaceutical industry. Knowledge of cereal processing, low acid canned foods or aseptic processing is also preferred.
