Job Description
Supply Operations Richmond Bread Plant, located in Richmond, California, has an opening for a Plant Sanitation Supervisor.
Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: • Supervise and schedule union crews. • Manage day to day operations within the sanitation department. • Deal with suppliers and vendors • Ensure adherence to Safeway policies, procedures and practices. • Drive innovation and continuous improvement to obtain World Class Manufacturing status. • Design, monitor, and maintain a safe working environment. • Cultivate a positive and innovative work environment. • Develop associates by providing ongoing supervision and feedback • Travel required: 5% or less.
Qualifications: • 4 year college degree in Food Science, Management, Manufacturing or related field preferred. • 2-4 years experience as a Plant Sanitarian, preferred bakery manufacturing • 1-4 years experience in direct supervision in a manufacturing environment. • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint • Knowledge of MSDS, HACCP and GMP’s • Has demonstrated good leadership skills. Ability to direct a diverse work force. • Excellent organizational skills with a high degree of initiative and flexibility. • Strong interpersonal, communication, and team building skills. • Good analytical and problem solving skills. • Ability to analyze cost performance data to improve operations and reduce costs. • Must be comfortable at giving and receiving open feedback. • Willingness to work evenings, night shifts, weekends and holidays.
