Job Description
Company/Product: A world class processed food manufacturer is seeking a Vice President of Sales due to extremely aggressive sales growth and market diversification. Company is located in the Midwest with proximity to a metropolitan area known for cultural/educational amenities and natural beauty.

Job Description: The Vice President of Sales would lead an internal and external sales staff to encompass National Retail Sales, DSD, Foodservice and Private Label business initiatives.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Develop strategic plans and brand initiatives for existing and new products • Research and make recommendations on diversification within existing classes of trade or penetration into new trade segments to ensure continued growth and profit potential • Direct sales staff and broker network management in execution of the strategic business plan to support the sustained growth targets designed by management. This includes the growth of existing product lines and new brand/product launches. • Provide input that allows maximum product profitability. • Direct/support profitability of the product lines through periodic review of various customers, products and margin reports • Direct/support initiatives designed to have better control over inventory and cost of goods sold • Visit targeted key customers with sales staff • Represent the company at various industry related functions • Executive management of the total sales organization budget and full P&L and budgetary responsibilities

Education: Minimum of BS or BA in relevant discipline

Experience: Minimum of ten years experience in a steadily progressive executive sales management role. Minimum achievement of Director level for large, national CPG food company. Heavy experience with grocery retail, foodservice, private label and DSD trade segments.

Salary: To $200K plus bonus, commensurate with experience Comprehensive and competitive benefits package Relocation package is available
