Job Description
Well known food manufacturer is searching for an experienced Purchasing Manager for their Chicago area facility. The company has multiple manufacturing sites in North America and this person would be responsible for purchasing materials for all of them including but not limited to the following:
-Commodities - sugar, cherries, etc. -Packaging materials, cartons, films, dies, etc
The successful candidate will also have to possess a thorough knowledge of Enterprise software systems or SAP.
A competitive relocation package will be offered for the candidate to move to Chicago area.
We are really looking for a hard charger with demonstrated negotiation skills. This is imperative. International experience could be helpful here.
This position will eventually be managing buyers so management experience is strongly desired.
Very solid, well known company with little turnover. This is a rare opportunity. The position is opening up due to senior level employees retiring.
