Job Description
Key Account Manager On-Premise Role & Responsibilities
The Successful candidate must have MAJOR SOFT DRINK COMPANY experience. High level of energy required as well as the willingness to work non-standard hours, including nights and weekends when needed, primarily for customer entertainment. Must possess the ability and drive to identify and acquire new business; additionally, must be able to work independently and in a team environment, all with the goal of achieving positive results. Also requires a high level of accountability and excellent communication and follow-up skills.
Account Management o Primary Role – Acquisition of new business and industry accounts o Primary Customers – Large business and industry accounts, both national and independents § Call Base – Small number of existing accounts o Proficiency in customer development; including cold calling, sales presentations, and contract implementation o Time Management § Plan weekly calls on customer with a specific desired outcome on each call o Results Oriented – must achieve sales volume and thru-put goals § Must acquire new accounts from target list
Business Reviews Internal & External o Focus on results – Increasing sales volume and thru-put § By account and entire channel o Ability to analyze data as well as develop cash flows and presentations with recommendations to profitably acquire new full-line vending customers § Identify gaps in account performance and suggest/implement action plan to coarse correct in a timely fashion o Perform a minimum of a quarterly review for all accounts o Market trends versus account trends o Trade Math o Micro Soft PowerPoint o Micro Soft Word o Micro Soft Excel o Margin Minder UXT o AS/400
Communication: o The ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing o Must command excellent presentation skills to senior account management, both internally and externally o Must be able to represent the customer expectation back to the company o Gain understanding of marketing direction on pricing, volume, and margin o Identify and present opportunities to marketing for trade development
