We have an opening for a 2nd shift Production Supervisor who will manage the production operations on 2nd shift with direct accountability for the shift. Supervise manufacturing hourly personnel to make products that meet quality standards and budget cost guidelines. Lead efforts to increase the overall productivity of assigned production department(s) and guide efforts to continuously improve product cost and quality, personnel safety and employee performance. Develop production personnel to achieve plant goals while maintaining a safe, harmonious work environment that is consistent with good manufacturing practices for food processing. Demonstrate honesty and integrity in all personal interactions. Direct production activities to achieve plant budget and customer service targets. Oversee production operations within the department as a key liaison with plant management and outside agency personnel.
Develop and train the assigned hourly workforce. Identify training needs of shift personnel and arrange on-the-job and “classroom” training to increase effectiveness at work. Provide coaching and administer discipline, as needed, to enhance the overall performance level of the assigned work group.
Engage hourly personnel in the achievement of department and plant goals. Establish clear business priorities and communicate business needs so that groups inside and outside the plant understand their cross-functional responsibilities. Ensure compliance with all regulatory and Company policies, procedures, programs and practices. Administer these regulations in a consistent manner while holding employees accountable for their actions. Performs other related duties as assigned.
