* * HR Generalist – HR Manager * * Position Summary
The HR Generalist – HR Manager is a key contributor behind a successful HR Team. This person is responsible for the management and administration of policies relating to all phases of human resources activities such as HR policies and procedures, guidance on Company policies and benefits, recruiting, posting ads, scheduling interviews, process new hires, and managing workers compensation injuries.
This is the ideal position for all motivated candidates who thrives on challenge. The HR Generalist – HR Manager will report to the VP of Human Resources.
Job Responsibilities include:
- Recruit for all open positions and temporary workers. This includes internal postings for the employee referral program, placing ads in newspapers, and maintaining relationships with recruiting agencies.
- Prepare materials and conduct new employee orientations.
- Maintain personnel files. Ensure that employee records are accurate and up-to-date.
- Provide guidance Company policies and procedures.
- Manage workers compensation claims closely with Management and with the doctors to ensure an open dialogue in order to effectively monitor and implement applicable worker compensation Federal and State requirements as well as maintaining the records and managing the claim to close.
We will train for this position, but do require the following:
Required qualifications: - Proven ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Strong communication skills (written and oral), interpersonal skills, articulate and confident.
- Some bilingual ability (English/ Spanish) is a strong plus.
- Strong organizational abilities and able to provide attention to details. Accuracy and excellent proofreading ability are a must.
- Able to interact tactfully and maintain a professional demeanor in a challenging environment.
- Able to work with limited supervision.
- Must have a minimum of 4 years knowledge of various leave management policies such as: FMLA, STD, LTD, and Workers Compensation.
- Experience working with various level of management.
- Positive attitude and professional appearance.
