Provider of fresh products to the foodservice industry serving Western PA and OH seeks a Procurement Manager. Based in Pittsburgh, the Procurement Manager will oversee 2 buyers and report directly to the President. With an emphasis on fresh fruits and vegetables, the Procurement manager will manage all buying functions and participate in the buying process. You will help improve overall quality of products, strengthen our relationship with key vendors, train and hire any additional staff, and participate in sales meetings.

The Procurement Manager will be expected to develop a long range plan designed to optimize buying leverage. We need someone who can relate to our vendors and work with them to establish expectations.

Candidate Requirements:

• 5+ years FOB buying
• 5+ years freight negotiations
• Solid understanding of produce business & industry
• Microsoft Applications (Excel, Word)
• Strong analytical and negotiation skills
• Knowledge of foodservice distribution
• Direct management experience in the produce industry
