Job Description
Supply Operations Plant, located in City of Commerce, California, has an opening for a Maintenance Supervisor.

Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: • Supervise and schedule union maintenance crews. • Preventative Maintenance compliance and effectiveness. • Drive innovation and continuous improvement to obtain World Class Manufacturing status (VPM – TPM). • Ensure adherence to Safeway policies, procedures and practices. • Maintain a high level of customer service for retail and public customers. • Capital budget development, justification, implementation and administration. • Strive for fast continuous systematic planned improvement. Identify and improve plant opportunities. • Deal with suppliers and vendors. • Develop associates by providing ongoing supervision and feedback to develop • Set, Monitor and maintain a safe working environment. • Travel up to 5-10% may be required.

Qualifications: • 2 to 4 year degree in Engineering field or similar experience, BS in Engineering Preferred. • 2-4 years experience in a manufacturing environment, preferred dairy manufacturing. • 1-4 years experience in direct supervision in a manufacturing environment. • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access. • Knowledge of PLC’s, preventative maintenance, programming, robotics, refrigeration, electrical and mechanical applications. • Knowledge of MSDS, HACCP and GMPs. • Knowledge of working with regulatory agencies (e.g. OSHA, AIB, FDA, EPA) • Experience in Capital Expenditure development, justification, implementation and administration. • Experience in safety administration. • Has demonstrated good leadership skills. Ability to direct a diverse work force. • Excellent organizational skills with a high degree of initiative and flexibility. • Strong analytical and problem solving skills. • Excellent interpersonal, teambuilding, and oral/written communication skills. • Excellent organizational skills, with a high degree of initiative and flexibility. • Willingness to work evenings, night shifts, weekends, and holidays.
