Job Description
The Judge Group, INC. is currently in search of a Plant Engineering Manager for an established Food Manufacturing Company located in California. Currently seeking someone who will supervise 2 direct reports as well as 40 indirect reports across 3 shifts. The Plant Engineering Manager is responsible for advancing production technologies through sound engineering principles during the design, estimation, fabrication, layout, installation, and start-up of new and existing production processes and equipment. This position offers a challenging career opportunity for the engineer/project manager who desires to stay abreast of new developments in the areas of regulatory requirements, process controls, mechanical designs, PLC technology and CAD technology, supporting the plant in technology upgrades with electrical, mechanical and construction standards. Qualified individual should have hands-on maintenance experience as well as experience with power, utilities and waste water. Individual should have broad knowledge and use of PLC’s and will be responsible for ammonia refrigeration. Candidate must have strong capital projects and project management experience as well as good process knowledge. This position will provide successful design, estimation, and execution of company capital projects with optimum results expected in project development, cost management and implementation. REQUIREMENTS: Qualified Candidates for the Plant Engineering Manager Position MUST be degreed in mechanical, electrical or chemical engineering and come from either a food or pharmaceutical manufacturing facility.
