Purchasing Sr. Project Coordinator
Job Description
Purchasing Sr. Project Coordinator, who will reporting to the Purchasing Sr. Department Manager within the Company’s Supply Chain Internal Division.
The Purchasing Sr. Project Coordinator will be responsible for negotiating contract labor contracts, and purchasing of major equipment, parts, and materials for capital investment projects.
Additional responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to the following: market research, finding new vendors that lead to the lowest TCO, finding and recommending new e-procurement techniques, preparing RFx’s and analyzing responses, negotiating contracts, writing and reviewing contracts and selecting contract types, resolving exceptions to Company’s T&C’s, purchasing major equipment, materials, and other assigned products and services, expediting delivery, reviewing requisitions to ensure accuracy and completeness, providing forecasts, conducting various types of analysis including value, cost/price, make vs. buy or purchase vs. lease, developing and maintaining KPI’s, reviewing and approving invoices, and reconciling invoice discrepancies.
This position will also develop and maintain vendor, consultant & contractor relationships, visit vendor sites, resolve quality issues with vendors, evaluate vendors & work with them to improve performance, and communicate with vendors, customers, and management.
This position requires collaborative work with cross functional groups including Operations, Technology, Supply Chain, Finance, and Sales personnel.
The following requirements and qualifications have been established for this position: • BS/BA degree in Supply Chain Management, associated field, or equivalent experience • Minimum 5 years experience in Purchasing & Negotiating • Basic understanding of SAP • Demonstrates proactive approach to creating and realizing innovative solutions • Demonstrates ability to resolve problems based on fact-based decisions • Demonstrates cross-functional team based skills • Demonstrates ability to develop projects and/or execute programs effectively • Demonstrates ability to perform in multi-task environment • Demonstrates strong oral and written, internal and external communication skills. • Demonstrates strong computer skills utilizing MS Office products • Demonstrates high level of integrity/morals/ethics
