Job Description
Engineering Program Coordinator

The Engineering Program Coordinator is responsible for assuring technically sound system designs, and the timely / cost effective implementation of major capital projects.

The Engineering Program Coordinator is responsible for assuring technically sound system designs, and the timely / cost effective implementation of major capital projects.

The candidate will be responsible for capital project design, cost estimates, cost controls, planning & scheduling, construction, start-ups, construction safety programs, and Operations troubleshooting assistance. Experience in a process related industry (corn wet milling, chemical, pulp & paper, food, pharmaceutical) is preferred, and should be familiar with, but not limited to, centrifuges, ion exchange systems, crystallization systems, chromatographic separation, powder handling systems, batch reactors, drying equipment, tanks, process piping, packaging equipment, vessels, heat exchangers, boiler utility systems (steam, compressed air, etc.), mechanical systems including pumps, piping, valves, heat exchangers. In addition, the incumbent will have the opportunity to participate in Operation driven projects and assist areas of the plant with technical issues

The following requirements and qualifications have been established for this position: • BA/BS degree in Mechanical, Civil or Chemical Engineering • Minimum >5 years experience in Project Management within a process oriented industry • Experience in managing capital projects > $10 MM desired • Experience in project scoping and estimating methods • Experience in SAP Project Systems module preferred • Demonstrates cross-functional leadership skills • Demonstrates ability to manage and/or develop corporate programs effectively • Demonstrates working knowledge of State and Federal building & safety codes • Demonstrates an understanding of environmental agency requirements • Demonstrates excellent oral and written communication skills • Demonstrates strong computer skills utilizing MS Office products
