Job Description
Armour-Eckrich Meats, LLC is a $1 billion branded meats company with a strong presence across retail, deli and foodservice channels. Manager Sales Business Development will be responsible for managing all activities regarding trade and business development for the Armour - Eckrich Meats LLC Central Region team. The successful candidate will coordinate all strategic planning required to deliver plan objectives, drive the forecasting process and ensure accuracy, communicate and work in conjunction with trade marketing, sales operations and category development. Position reports to the Director of Sales, Central Region Team located in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for managing approved trade guidelines, setting and implementing market pricing.
  • Responsible for building and maintaining trade and volume plans for all accounts rolling up under the Central Region.
  • Apply best in class category management principals to maintain and grow Armour - Eckrich category positions at the major accounts in the central region.
  • Communicate the Central Region Team's technology needs to Armour-Eckrich headquarters to enhance team efficiencies.
  • Lead the designing and implementing of business intelligence & reporting tools for best in class category management capabilities.
  • Coordinate training and skill development programs for team members to continue to develop critical analytical skills.
  • Compile and evaluate category trends through the use of IRI databases to be used in every new item presentation as well as business reviews.
  • Work with business development to develop quarterly financial goals and strategies as well as volume projections.
  • Responsible for database maintenance to ensure accurate reporting, forecasting and budgeting.
  • Collaborate with team members to development and execute action plans as set by corporate.

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor degree in business administration, sales or closely related field
  • Minimum of five years account management experience
  • Minimum of three years category management experience preferred
  • Previous experience working with syndicated data required
  • Computer Literate; proficient working with Microsoft Office software: Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook
  • Excellent communication skills both oral and written
  • Documented decision making, problem-solving and teamwork skills and abilities
  • 25% travel required
