Job Description
National confections manufacturer seeks seasoned industry pro who will serve as internal resource to numerous manufacturing locations in regards to candy manufacturing. Want person experienced in all facets of candy making to include batching, cooking, forming, enrobing and conditioning. Will work with all levels of leadership at plant locations to oversee production and quality issues so person must be well versed in confections formulations and ingredients, food quality and food safety, HACCP, food labeling laws, GMPs, etc. The qualified person might currently be a Production Mgr., Quality Mgr. or any similar role...just so long as their career has included strong hands-on exposure to candy making. Position reports to VP Manufacturing for growing company based in Midwest (medium to large metro). Extensive travel - 50-60%. Prefer previous management experience. Strongly prefer Bachelor's degree but experience will be considered in lieu of formal education. Newly created position.
