JOB DESCRIPTION:

This position provides financial leadership for sales, sales discounts, trade spending, deductions and commission payments to brokers. Reports to the Director Financial Accounting and is a key member of the financial organization. Direct interface with management from all business channels and customer service. Supervise three direct reports and five indirect reports

Main Duties include:

• Provide financial leadership for sales, sales discounts, trade spending, deductions and commission payments to brokers:
• Provide financial leadership in creation of sales and sales discounts reporting, analysis and budgeting
• Maintain the trade spending accrual, ensure compliance with GAAP and provide analysis to the business channels
• Manage the groups responsible for deductions and commission payments
• Lead system projects in support of trade spending and integration of acquisitions
• Document department policies and procedures and make recommendations for process improvements
• Develop improved processes and reporting for trade spending and commissions
• Maintain financial internal control procedures to assure compliance with all provisions of Sarbanes-Oxley legislation and in conjunction with Corporate Accounting.
• This position provides financial leadership for sales, sales discounts, trade spending and deductions. Supervise three direct reports and five indirect reports.
• The position reports to the Director Financial Accounting and is a key member of the financial organization.
• This position will have direct interface with management from all business channels and customer service.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

• Proficient in desktop applications.
• Experience with ERP systems within a manufacturing environment.
• Demonstrated technical financial accounting capability
• Eight plus years experience of financial accounting, reporting & analysis, including a strong understanding of GAAP.
• Experience within a multi-channel, multi-plant environment; exposure to trade spending and deductions is a plus.
• Understanding and applying provisions of Sarbanes-Oxley legislation within this financial area of responsibility.
• Bachelors Degree in Accounting/Finance. CPA preferred.
