Job Description
Our client, a large food processor, is searching for a District Sales Leader, to be based in the Metro New York or New Jersey Market.

The District Sales Leader will manage approximately 8 independent distributors servicing over 500 accounts. Will report to the Zone Sales leader in Metro New York. Will be assigned a territory in either the Metro New York or New Jersey area.

    Position Tasks:
  • Manager sales and growth with independent operators-distributors.
  • Motivate and assist in all aspects of delivery and merchandising thru independent operators.
  • Conduct business reviews.
  • Own retail execution with all customers in the territory.
  • Secure and introduce distribution of new items.
  • Gain new customers.
  • Ensure compliance through existing trade submission forms.
  • Comply with internal processes for tracking and accounting for customer performance.

      Position Requriements:
  • 4-year degree.
  • 2-5 years of sales experience with brokers or independent distributors in the food & beverage industry.
  • Working and traveling knowledge of the New York & New Jersey markets is highly preferred.
  • Excellent leadership, communication and coaching skills required.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
