Sr. Production Scheduler
Job Description
Position Summary: The Senior Production Scheduler is responsible for managing a 16 week production schedule time horizon, covering all Naked Juice Finished Good production including co-pack locations. Other responsibilities include managing short term production schedules, which support customer demands and providing appropriate balance between customer service, cost/inventory and operational efficiencies.
Major Responsibilities:
• Maintain a multiple week, multi site production plan.
• Successfully produce new products to meet planned launch dates, track production compliance for each site / line and maintain system data as well as control out-of-date product trends and support ongoing company performance objectives.
• Coordinate with production scheduling team on demand requirements and deployment plans, strive to satisfy customers and meet other key departmental objectives and deliver high quality work and dependable performance.
• Create manufacturing orders and maintain inventory levels within targets
• Optimize the supply chain by:
*Synchronizing supply with demand utilizing cost-optimized, constraint-based rules and techniques.
*Maximize sales, profits, customer service and Value as well as fixed capacity and asset utilization,
*Minimize decision time, forecast error, inventory investment and obsolescence, *Considers all activities associated with moving goods from the raw-material stage to end-user.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree: Business, Logistics, Supply Chain or Industrial Engineering required.
• APICS Certification in 3 years is preferred.
• Minimum 4 years experience in production scheduling, with 2 years in similar (fast-paced, continuous) supply chain manufacturing environment (ex: food, beverage, automotive industry experience).
• 2 years experience with MPS, DRP, MRP or DP systems required.
• Proficiency in Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and Excel (i.e., formulas, pivot tables, graphs/charts) required.
Strong familiarity with planning and transactional systems.
• Ability to build positive relationships and influence local and non Tropicana teams required.
• Must understand supply chain, planning, scheduling and logistics concepts.
