Senior Brand Manager

SUMMARY:
Directly responsible for team of Brand Managers, Analyst and Sales Assistant. Oversees development of special programs, sales performance and market analysis. Also responsible for reviewing current brand item mix in order to prepare category reviews and presentations for new items and line extensions.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
* Establish "DNA" ;criteria for each private label custom brand managed. * Review all products within each brand for "DNA" ;compliance. * Working with buyers and principles developing consumer centric programs. * Responsible for assuring the Brand Managers have the best possible suppliers in terms of price, quality and service. * Monitor correspondence between Sales Assistant and Buyers to ensure correct pricing is distributed and timely completion for special projects. * Pre-test new and existing items. * Assist the Brokerage Department on past due accounts. * Develop Brand Managers sales and sourcing expertise. * Work with product analysts to interpret market data. * Work with new product development and launch team. * Responsible for interviewing, training, counseling and disciplining of staff. * Maintains confidentiality as it relates to business issues within the Company and Department. * Agrees to follow policies and procedures as established by the Company. * Contributes to team effort by accomplishing goals as needed. * Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks.
Knowledge & Skills
QUALIFICATIONS:
* Prefer BS/BA in Food Marketing with 5-10 years experience in the CPG / Food industry and recent experience in Brand Management. * Excellent analytical skills used in forecasting and market research. * Account Management in a creative environment. * Proficient in Word, Excel and Power Point. * Ability to interact with all levels of personnel. * Ability to work extended hours. * Good oral and written communication skills. * Available for overnight and some extended travel. * A basic Relo is being offered ($5,000 if needed) * ESOP - Stock bonuses are given in profitable years, but not guaranteed. *Retirement plan consists of 401(K), Safe Harbor and ESOP. *Benefits include Company car, 5 weeks of paid time off, Client is self-insured on Health, Dental, Vision, and RX. *Cash bonuses are awarded in profitable years, but not guaranteed.
