Job Description
I. Quality Improvement Be a producer of continuous quality improvement. Determine methods for quality improvement and lead in the implementation of changes using advanced engineering principles and statistical methods. Achieve 100% conformance to quality standards.
II. Operations Support * Be a resource for the development and execution of packaging system productivity improvements and cost reductions. * Conduct unit operations studies to gain system knowledge, improved efficiencies, and reduced losses. * Develop and direct training in packaging operations and technology. * Serve as a technical resource to assure that new product / process tests and start-ups are designed and executed properly. * Actively participate in the development of empowered work systems by effectively communicating technical knowledge and changes. * Technical resource for all packaging electrical / control systems.
III. Technical Development * Improve systems unit operations through the development, testing, and implementation of technological improvements to current systems. * Shared responsibility for establishing documentation system and unit operations standards. * Assume primary responsibility for assuring that all systems improvements and changes meet current standards. * Assist in the development of junior engineers in packaging technology and applications.
