Process Improvement Engineer
Job Description
The Process Optimization Engineer is responsible for creating, developing and implementing standard operating procedures across energy plant and refining processes. The PO Engineer will model, test and modify existing mechanical, electrical and instrumentation technologies to optimize energy and refining efficiencies. He/she will train and mentor operators and engineers in best practices to ensure critical automatic, safety systems are in place. The position will be responsible for leading and developing Six Sigma initiatives across power plant and refining operations to reduce energy, improve yield, reduce waste, raise quality and elevate productivity.
B.S. in Chemical Engineering is required.
He/she must have at least 15 years of successful, comprehensive experience in manufacturing continuous processes field. Six Sigma Green or Black Belt certification required. Control simulation software experience (e.g. from Aspentech family) required. Chartered/Professional Engineer license preferred.
