Job Description
Electrical Engineering Description

Purpose

Provide Electrical Engineering skills in support of manufacturing operations. This position will provide technical leadership in the area of electrical power distribution and controls, develop and implement capital projects which support the manufacture of new products, reduce supply chain costs all within compliance of regulatory codes and guidelines.

This is a corporate position providing technical support to (4) manufacturing facilities configured for national distribution to customers.

Utilize Project Management skills to consistently deliver project scope on-time and on-budget. Apply industry leading technology in the areas of utility conservation, electrical power distribution, motor and packaging line controls and process automation to continuously reduce supply chain costs. Provide engineering expertise and support to Research, Manufacturing, Maintenance and Quality Departments along with project groups and plant teams as requested.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Collaborate with Corporate Engineering, Site Maintenance Managers and Plant Managers to develop annual and 3-year capital plans by recommending projects to improve Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).

Develop enterprise wide electrical standards and guidelines to improve OEE.

Provide economic feasibility support to the Operations Group for both new product development and continuous improvement initiatives.

Collaborate with Research, Engineering and Maintenance to design, specify, plan, implement and commission capital projects and ensure the delivery of project scope on-time and on-budget which meet agreed stakeholder expectations.

Provide technical support to Manufacturing and Maintenance for electrical issues.

Provide technical leadership in developing means to improve equipment reliability.

Remain current with latest technology related to the manufacture of LFI products.

Remain current with latest and emerging industry regulations and codes relative to LFI electrical systems design and operation.

Support the technical training and development of electrical talent throughout the organization.

Conduct an annual self-assessment of your performance which identifies opportunities for performance improvement along with a personal development plan.

QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering.

Ten years experience in food, beverage or pharmaceutical industry and/or high speed packaged consumer goods manufacturing environment.

Demonstrated experience in utilities conservation

Demonstrated Project Management experience as a hands-on project manager delivering project scope from concept to closure on-time and on-budget including:

Project scope up to $10M.

Manage project portfolio in various stages of project life cycle.

Willingness to travel up to 50%.

Manage project stakeholders – internal / external

Manage project risk
