Job Description
Sabra Dipping Company is a leading manufacturer of authentic, fresh and unique refrigerated dips and spreads and the number one player in the hummus category nationwide with sales in excess of $100 million and fast, aggressive growth. The company operates in the USA and Canada currently.
The Queens, NY based company was founded in 1986 and is today a Join Venture partnership between the PepsiCo company and the Strauss Company (food multinational from Israel). The JV is marketing led and has aggressive growth plans based on marketing activation, innovation and expanded capabilities and is seeking a brand manager to join its small but growing marketing department.
Key functions:
1.Lead innovation projects to deliver new growth platforms/products in related categories within agreed objectives, and through established project management framework 2.Support development and delivery of marketing plan 2009 and beyond including leading and managing marketing budget and activity in all areas related to Digital, PR, Merchandising (including price/size architecture), and Trade Marketing. 3.Support development of Sabra’s category participation strategy to determine where to play and how to win beyond current leadership in hummus category 4.Create, develop, and manage joint marketing activity with Pepsico’s sister brands such as Stacy’s 5.Build and manage competitive intelligence database and category tracking data and draw conclusions to support marketing tactics
Job Requirements and Qualifications •4 to 6 years marketing experience, ideally in the fresh/refrigerated food industry driving growth for emerging/fast growth brands •Solid project management track record, ideally driving innovation from ideation to concept development and testing, to commercialization •Strong understanding of marketing mix principles/execution including exposure to diversified consumer advertising vehicles •P & L understanding and proven analytical skills •Entrepreneurial spirit to operate successfully in environment going through explosive growth •Education: MBA preferred
