Job Description
Job Description: •Review and assess risk of U.S. governmental regulations changes affecting cross border and international trade and ensure corporate compliance •Investigate trade restrictions, duty requirements and labeling restrictions/specifications and provide recommendations to North American sourcing decisions on ingredients/packaging and finished goods •Manage business relationship with trade services partner to ensure compliance with regulations •Manage logistics operations for cross border purchase for resale shipments originating from outside the U.S. and logistics operations for all affiliated sales exported from the U.S. including carrier service monitoring, cost management and supply chain optimization •Negotiate with governmental agencies to obtain binding customs rulings in areas where regulations are vague •Develop and implement effective auditing functions to ensure compliance •Accurately classify ingredients, packaging and finished goods for duty rates •Develop and implement processes for cross border and international business transactions •Ensure accurate duty funds outlay and recover all unnecessary duties paid promptly with accurate and timely reconciliation of the duty receivables account •Be accountable for information that customs brokers communicate to the federal governments.

Requirements: •3+ years direct Customs experience, •BS/BA mandatory, •Customs Brokers License mandatory •In depth knowledge of Customs legislation and regulations affecting cross border and international trade, •Strong knowledge of various modes of transportation and their processes, •Understanding of broad supply chain functions
