Job Description
Requires 2 years experience in value added meat/poultry processing and MS in Meat/Poultry Science. Requires knowledge of meat and poultry processing/cooking, suppliers and experience with food processing equipment. Must be comfortable working in production facilities and have excellent communication skills.
Job Duties: Work independently to develop value added meat/poultry commodities, actively participate in the development process; act as key contact between Company and vendors. Plan, conduct and evaluate necessary test work to meet timelines. Develop, test and coordinate the implementation of process improvements both in house and at vendors. Encourage the application of new and improved methodologies where appropriate; evaluate opportunities of emerging technologies/equipment. Assist in the development of meat/poultry specifications.
