Equal Opportunity Employer (M/F/D/V) Responsibilities SUMMARY: As part of the Fresh Preserving marketing team, XXXX helps develop brand and product strategies and creates marketing programs that drive growth. Leads key advertising and promotion program development and execution in-market, driving integration across various elements of the marketing toolkit, including online marketing, PR, and retail/trade marketing programs. Also responsible for all packaging strategy and for bringing the brand to market with a single face and identity. In addition, manages new product projects, from consumer insight and ideation through execution in market with supporting trial generation programs. Must be a leader, taking accountabililty for program results and brand performance metrics as a whole, as well as being a passionate advocate of the Fresh Preserving consumer.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 1. Drive sales and profitability growth for the Fresh Preserving franchise. a. Manage business reporting, including monthly dashboards, competitor/marketplace analyses, and ROI analyses for programs. b. Manage brand marketing budget, delivering year-end spending and ROI goals. c. Take leadership role in demand forecasting team, translating marketing activities and category conditions into clear direction Sales and Supply Chain team members. d. Develop new ideas and improvements that can improve margin and profitability.
2. Bring brand equity vision to life in the marketplace. a. Collaborate with Brand Manager on positioning development, and help drive into all marketing communications. b. Lead all packaging development and execution, improving consumer appeal, shelf presence and sustainability. c. Lead development of new claims for existing and new products that achieve meaningful differentiation versus competition. d. Lead development of new website and online marketing strategy, in line with Brand trial and loyalty objectives. e. Lead consumer promotion ideation, planning and execution -- both on national and regional scale. f. Coordinate national promotions with grassroots and online efforts to ensure maximum synergy.
3. Collaborate with Sales and Trade Marketing organizations to achieve strong retail programs and customer delight. a. Participate in forecasting and planning activities to ensure customer service and OTD goals are met. b. Use consumer and market research to develop insights leading to retail promotion strategies for growth. c. Develop strong in-store programs, including shelf planograms and displays, to drive growth. d. Translate consumer promotion events into retail promotions that deliver merchandising growth. e. Coordinate with Trade Marketing in/out product offerings as appropriate for customer- specific promotions. f. Develop collateral materials, product samples, sell-in presentations to support Sales meetings and Field.
4. Be a leader in the organization. a. As member of several cross-functional teams, take leadership role and model key success behaviors of communication, teamwork, accountability, and results-focus. b. Raise level of understanding across organization of our consumers, our brands, and the external marketplace. c. Be an advocate for diversity, for creating culture of winning, and for compliance with key processes used to govern the business. d. Develop marketing and leadership skill set needed to advance to increasing levels of responsibility. Qualifications Requires Bachelor's degree in Marketing or related discipline and three to five years' prior marketing experience, preferably in the consumer packaged goods industry. MBA is preferred. Experience with syndicated data (IRI, Nielsen), category management tools, and shipment data (such as in SAP) a strong plus.
