Job Description
Our client, a large national firm, is searching for a new plant manager for several of their automated food processing facilities in the North East. There are openings near Philadelphia, PA and UP State New York.
The Plant Manager manages manufacturing operations for a commercial bakery. Supervise a management staff and department head of approximately 20, and a production staff of between 100-200 hourly employees. Insure that the plant beats or exceeds key performance goal. Maintain or improve standards was related to employee safety, quality, food safety, service, and costs. Over see process improvement. Build a work place culture that supports teamwork, respect, and professionalism.
4-year degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Food Science, or related field. MBA candidates are highly preferred. 12 years of experience in manufacturing with increasing responsibility, at least 5 years of experience in the food processing industry. 4 years or more of Management experience in a manufacturing environment overseeing mutable departments, such as quality, maintenance, production, etc. Proven track record of increasing efficiencies and successful problem solving in a manufacturing environment. Strong working knowledge of process controls and statistically analysis. Participative hands on management style with excellent leadership and communication skills.
