Job Description
Overview Plan, schedule, and manage Chattanooga Production operations, including, all areas of production, mechanics, housekeeping, and safety insuring production and new start-ups meet or exceed all customer, quality, cost, and production standards.

Responsibilities 1. Plan and direct production activities and establish production priorities for products in keeping with effective operations and within established cost factors. 2. Provide leadership, support, and guidance to manufacturing and other support teams and ensure key performance measures, goals, objectives, and accountability are consistently achieved. 3. Develop, implement, and manage plans for effective, optimum, and efficient use of materials, machine operations, and human resources. 4. Consult with engineering and maintenance personnel relative to modification of machines and equipment in order to improve production and quality of products. 5. Be a champion and leader for all Lean Manufacturing initiatives. Based on education and experience, make recommendations for possible Lean Manufacturing initiatives. 6. Ensure company safety and health practices are maintained and practiced by all personnel. 7. Assist in the training and development of personnel to ensure a high quality workforce. 8. Review and analyze production, quality, maintenance, and operations reports to determine causes of nonconformity with product specifications and operations or production problems. 9. Perform other special assignments as requested by Factory Manager.

Requirements This position requires an individual who possesses a minimum of seven years supervisory experience in the foods packaging industry and managing other supervisors. BS in Engineering required. Incumbent must have excellent written and oral communication skills, solid MS Office skills, and the ability to flourish in a team-based environment. Experience with an ERP system required.
