PURPOSE:
Maximize Melon Sales Profit and Revenues with all major retail chain accounts, wholesale markets and broker networks.
ACCOUNTABILITIES: 1. Determine market conditions and sell to customer base such that revenues are always maximized. 2. Maintain highest level of customer service and professionalism at all times. 3. Help plan and execute strategic long term goals with Director of Melon Sales and Vice President of Melon Sales 4. Work closely with coordination group with respect to working through inventories in a timely manner 5. Visiting existing customers and constantly working towards building new customer contacts and relationships. 6. Manage claims / credit functions within the timeline provided by Del Monte Policy. 7. Coordinate with various ports of entry shipment volumes during import season 8. Report all quality discrepancies on a timely basis to coordination group and/or grower. 9. Visit growing regions on a periodic basis
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
MINIMUM: 1. 5 + years sales experience, with previous produce background 2. 4 year college degree 3. Excellent verbal, written and organization skills; basic computer skills
