Job Description

The Manager Supply Planning will determine premium inventory levels for Distribution Centers and Plants while meeting and exceeding fill rate, downgrade and working capital goals. Manage production capacity while balancing cost of inventory capital, capacity constraints, plant production efficiencies, and customer fill rate objectives. Provide support and leadership to Supply Planners in meeting above stated objectives. Oversee the Management of inventories at manufacturing facilities and 3rd party distribution centers to support Armour - Eckrich sales activity. Co-ordinate and act as the liaison with Business partners and Supply Planners in regard to all Supply Chain related projects. Communication with business partners regarding capacity constrains/ limitations for internal manufacturing locations, working with manufacturing facilities and or suppliers in scheduling production to support sales activity at the least landed cost.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversee and aid in optimizing of inventory levels at both Distribution Centers and Plants via various stocking policies. Drive for Inventory turn of 21 or more annually.
- Manage business factors for attaining targeted fill rate of 97.5%
- Drive for decreased Distress across all categories for a company wide distress target of 0.75% or less of sales.
- Drive enforcement and utilization of capacity models for entire business.
- Forward projections of current thru 1 year out.
- Support and provide direction for Marketing and Sales for new business capacity models and required Simulations.
- Interact with all Business Partners to strengthen process opportunities, and effectiveness across Armour - Eckrich.
- Provide resolution and execution to key shortage issues to upper management.
- Miscellaneous support to manufacturing plants and build supplier relationships.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Required:
- Bachelor's degree
- 7 + years of experience of Supply planning in a manufacturing. production environment.
- Experience in other Supply Chain functions ( Purchasing, Customer Service, Logistics) is considered a plus.
- Excellent analytical and communication skills.
- Results driven `can do' mentality.
- Ability to communicate at all levels within the company.
- Establish excellent cross-functional relationships within the company.
- Proficient in Excel, Access, Powerpoint, SAP versions 5.0 and up.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong problem solving skills.
- Ability to manager a high pressure and demanding situation professionally.
Preferred:
- Consumer Products Industry experience
- APICS Certified CPIM or CSCP a bonus
- Logility 6.5 and up a bonus
- Project Management
