Job Description
A global supplier of advanced ingredients for the food and beverages industry is looking for a talented individual to market and sell a unique ingredient to the brewing industry. The innovative product they would like you to market and sell is a cost saving enzyme used for beer stabilization. This product is a major asset to the fermentation process and improves: clarity & shelf life, stabilization, and reduces costs in the end result.
Responsibilities:
• Strategically market the new ingredient to potential customers
• Be able to explain the features and benefits to the client with the goal of embarking on test programs
• Achieve acceptance from clients’ managers for use of the ingredient in their process
• Negotiate long term contracts for supply of the ingredient to customers
• Further the marketing and development plans for this ingredient
• Explore new and existing markets for the customers
• In alignment with their global sales plan, develop a supplemental sales plan that addresses new products and/or new customers
• Build relationships with targeted customers, collecting essential market information, and keeping abreast of new market trends
Skills Required:
• A Bachelor’s degree in food science, chemistry, or macro/micro biology is required
• 8+ years experience in the brewing industry
• The ability to make sales presentations to major clients is essential
• Direct experience with enzymes used for the brewery industry is crucial
• Brewmaster certification is highly desirable
• Must be able to work in a global environment with many stakeholders and different cultures
• A broad view on industry and markets, along with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Demonstrated leadership skills, exceptional entrepreneurship, and incredible team skills are also essential
• Have a successful record of managing sophisticated transactions and selling to senior executives
• A strong strategic sense with broad base industry knowledge is vital
• Domestic and international travel is required (50-60%)
• No relocation required (be located near an international airport)
• Territory covers U.S., Mexico, & Canada.
