Job Description
Creates flavors by independent formulations or builds upon flavor formulaa from others to improve consumer liking of products and increase purchase, especially repeat purchases. -Creates and tests novel flavor notes/sensations that impart perception of a "reason to believe" for consumers that products deliver fresh breath or other benefits. -Performs flavor research and development and evaluates research results to resolve projects and/or probelms within the Science & Technology Department. -Utilize and communicates knowledge of the flavor industry to provide direction for key initiatives and identify potential process/product improvements and or cost savings. -Provides a perspective on future flavor development activities. -Assist in the interpretation of flavor analysis results of research work performed and prepares reports communicates this information to the appropriate personnel as required. -Provides technical assistance to manufacturing plants with various flavor formulation or related process questions or problems, which may require onsite vists. -Remains abreast of new developments in flavor industry by review in professional literature and attending technical meetings, conferences and seminars. -Supports/Performs other projects as assigned by the assigned group leader, manager or supervisor and other senior personnel
