Job Description

BACKGROUND:
- Four year degree in Engineering or Food Science is an absolute requirement.
5+ years experience managing process improvements in a Food, Beverage, or similar manufacturing plant. Some experience managing capital projects is needed. Looking for strong leadership skills. Must be data driven and drive improvement from performance data.
POSITION:
Work evenly on implementing improved people processes and driving improvement with equipment processes. Provide engineering and technical support for multiple production lines. Focus on maintaining reliable and safe manufacturing systems while improving production rates, efficiencies, yields, costs, and changeovers. Monitor process variation and implement controls that minimize the variation. Initiate, implement, and cost justify capital equipment and system modifications to production lines in response to equipment performance and product quality issues. This position has no direct reports, but will coach people regarding continuous improvement initiatives. Will work to gain buy-in from Operators who are implementing the improvements.
